There will always be ppl gaming the system, from what I can see most ppl on welfare are simply lazy ppl . Legit disability or temporary unemployment is not the same can of worms... but from my experience they are a minority in there. I would like to give them more money and the "welfare bums" less. How do you do that? Off topic I suppose...

The disabled are Sh!t out of luck , they get the same income as welfare.
And you can't do much to help , unless you plan on doing it on a constant basis.

Sks. Cheap gun cheap ammo. Or maybe a corwin arms or similar 12 ga. For the price of 1 gun allows the person to hunt the smallest small game to the largest big game. Ammo may not be super cheap but $1.50 for a month of food is a good deal.

Well if your that poor and you need to hunt for meat,a.22 will take most anything in the forest. Don't get much cheaper than that...:)

Can you get a good slug for $1.50? The last time I looked at slugs I saw that Federal 12 Ga 2 3/4 in 10 oz slugs were going for $9.00 a box of five, before tax..and the 3" stuff cost more.

The SKS may not be a bad idea. Hadn't thought of that.

By the way, the politics of welfare don't interest me at all, just the concept of the "welfare gun" and mostly as humor. It Sunday, too hot for a motorcycle ride (that means its real hot)...hiding in the basement...may hit the reloading bench.

You can get Winchester Super X for a buck a slug. Not great but they'll kill a deer no problem. Maybe a good slug would be a little more

.22 lr bolt action would go a long way.

As for all the welfare talk ..

Cdn. gov. f***s us all, all the time. So I have mixed feelings on people screwing the system.

got any jobs to shoot them at ???

30/30

There are all kinds of jobs available. General mentality is "I don't want to do that it doesn't pay enough". If that's the case then maybe one should rethink one's lifestyle. As a whole people are lazy. They expect the world to bow to them. If you have to start from scratch again that's what you do. I have interviewed countless people who have applied for various positions within a company. Most positions paid a decent wage that was well above minimum wage. It boggled my mind that people came in whom were on welfare and told me to my face that they would rather stay on welfare because they didn't have to do anything.
If Canada didn't have welfare maybe it would be better off.
If you can afford a rifle on welfare then you shouldn't be on welfare.

Ok, I'll start. Require that you pay property tax to vote..

If its a welfare gun then it stands to reason that they wouldn't be using a premium slug . you can get dominion brand slugs for even cheaper, or buckshot.

I didn't realize that slugs were so cheap...I don't see them for those prices around here, but they must be out there somewhere if you fellows are seeing them...but then I don't look very often. It may be because I grew up in rural Alberta, but I've never actually met anyone who has ever shot a deer (or a bear, or a coyote, or a porcupine) with a slug. But, like cheap slugs, I suppose they must exist somewhere.
