2016 Canadian IPSC Nationals

Mo, I agree with the idea that placing the mag in the front pocket should not be penalized. it's stupid. If you don't use the mag, you shouldn't get bumped, same for the keepers with one or two bullets on them. But you know who we are dealing with.

regarding the other thread, no proof was ever offered or supplied. it is trolling, plain and simple. drop it. or find somewhere else to play. I am not sure how much clearer i can make myself on this.

Sounds a bit mysterious to me too. What's the purpose of that rule?

There is nothing wrong with the rule, but how it was used. The stage RO applied rule 6.2.5.1 without applying rule 5.2.10 first, at that point it was too late to do anything.

The #3 in the RO creed states: "It is my duty to assist all competitors in their attempts to accomplish their goals...". It is a good thing to remind to all ROs.

Good point.. So basically, they screwed everyone over. And RM didn't didn't care !

Match was challenging and great stages. Jim and the guys in NS did a great job and put in tons of work. My open bump had nothing to do with any of that.
Cheers
Mo

I agree....great job all around guys ; a very professional and enjoyable match...

the RM cared enough to reverse the call for a BC team member as per that members posts on FB.
To be fair, my biggest issue with the stage design was lack of polish, the challenges were not bad, but it just didn't have a the feel of a Championships to me. Add in the complete #### CROs and a RM that bullies his way through the match, and well you end up not having much fun at the match.

I agree not fun being yelled at by CRO's and running stages HOT at nationals, went there to have fun !!! If I wanted to be sceamed at would have stay home !!!!

Enough of #####ing Guys.......I usually stay out of this kind of Political Bull####. It is not easy to put on even a local qualifier match, never mind a Level III national championship. I just did 2 qualifiers as a match director one week before the national in B.C and it is not easy.......and it is almost impossible to make everyone happy, All the RO and CRO, has worked 4 days straight, 12 hours a day, and the RM and MD has probably spent Weeks and Countless of hours preparing the match, what did the rest of us did????? All the Ro, CRO, MD and RM deserve credit and the recognition for their hard work. And I think they did a good jobs, For the rest of us, instead of #####ing you can step up and put some matches together then you will know how it is......(For all the one who is #####ing, please ask yourself when was the last time you put on a match)

Mike, to be fair, everyone actually worked a full day there. Some even had to get up at 6am next day to shoot.

RM has to make some unpopular decisions, so it is what it is. But there were ROs... I don't want to point fingers at anyone, but some of them could have done a better job assisting competitors to do their task. Some of them should follow an example that Richard Oh set. His stage was quite difficult to work at, but he and his crew was super nice to competitors til very end!

Isn't there a rule against posting in a thread under two different accounts?

Maybe.. ? I don't do intentionally, as I forget who I signed in as.
for the record, this is my personal avatar and opaextreme is
my dealer one. There.. U happy ?
Moderator is welcome to delete posts from other avatar post, if need be.

back to thread... Slavex, you saying exact same call that happened to Mo, happened to a B.C. team member and the call was reversed by RM ?? Really ?? So a blatant unethical use of power ? If this is a proven fact, I believe Ipsc canada or world should strip the RM of his nroi related creds. !!
We don't need unethical folks running our premier matches or any for that matter.

To above post re: stop #####ing cause of work that goes into a match.... I'm sure most truly appreciate the match hard work, etc.. no ones complaining about that part !!
It's premier match and many folks go to compete for an award, etc.... so expect professional level of ro & cro's, etc.. and to be fair for all !! People travel from far and is big expense to go there for a week... don't want match ruined by a bum call.
just saying
