New Toy!! Beretta 92 Inox Compact

I guess I'm the only one that likes the beefier look that the rail gives. To each his own. Gorgeous handgun no matter how you split hairs. Congrats on that beauty.
Thanks, i too prefer the railed version, if it was non railed i think i would have kept looking. I have a non railed Girsan compact and wish i would have got the railed version

Thought i would post an update after approx 500 rounds, very accurate, not one malfunction of any kind, i absolutely love this gun, the first shot in double action kinda sucks though as most people already know, i have shot it in an ipsc style shoot and a couple local matches and that 1st double action shot has made me miss everytime, lol. So i did a lot of searching the web and finally found on a forum that a guy removed the hammer release lever and installed a tiny bushing in place of, so now while activating the safety/decocker lever the firing pin block still rotates out of the way as per normal but doesn't decock hammer, then when disengaging safety you are in single action, i made and installed one today, works like a champ, i will try it out at the range in a couple days, pretty exited about this, along with a D spring installed this gun is getting even more enjoyable to shoot. Some people here may already know about this bushing mod, but i am going to assume that after searching every forum that i could find lol, and only one person mentioned it that it isn't common knowledge to most. I will try and post some pics when i get a chance.

Awsome pistol. During an IPSC match when reloading I pinched my pinky slamming the mag it. Got myself a lovely blood blister on my pinky. I now use the compact mags when starting and reg 92FS mags on reloads during course of fire...lol

Smart move!
I do the same with my G19. I start with a G19 mag but use 17 mags for reloads. I do the same with my 92SBC.

I did exactly the same thing when I tried out Still alive's pistol, had a nice blood blister on the pinky for a week afterwards, lol, lesson learned :)

very interesting solution. In the old days one just put in a D spring and practiced DA pulls. It is not insurmountable. I can hit a human torso sized steel plate at 50 yards with a sig p239. Can't hit the smaller plates DA yet!!

Heres a few pics, I removed the right side safety lever aswell, I did the same mods to my daughters Girsan also and filed down the left side safety lever to be similar to the Wilson Combat low profile version, its so much nicer when rackin the slide.

This looks like a great gun! is the frame made of stainless steel or aluminum? And what is the total weight (I am trying to decide between this model and SIG P229 stainless elite)

Shot in a pistol match a couple days ago with the bushing installed, so much nicer to get that first round off in SA. Awesome mod IMO, so easy to make and install. Brownells does carry the bushing though if anyone is interested $1.80.

I agree, I can live with the DA pull especially with a 12lb spring installed, (D spring is a 16lb) but cant wait to get a couple of the new G kits to convert to decocker only. My elite 1a is a G model and I much prefer the leaver being spring loaded to return to the ready position after decocking.
