Looking for opinions on which red dot sight to purchase. Im looking for something that wont break the bank. It will be mounted on my 7600 carbine in 30-06. I had a bushnell trophy 1x28 model years ago and it was tough as nails, never lost zero in the 3 years I used it. Any and all opinions are welcome.

The trophies are good sights for the money...... I especially like the ones with the selectable reticles...... I have a Holosun on my scout rifle and they are nice too, but require a rail for mounting.....

I will be looking for s bushnell trophy 1×28 red dot either with or without the dual settings of red or green

the bushnell trs25 are highly regarded as budget friendly, under $150, good red dots.
I have a cmore red dot which would likely run $300 at the cheapest, and you can choose your dot size when purchased.
Holosun and vortex sparc 2s are others I'd look at for under $300.

I doubt you'd want to spend aimpoint money on a 7600, even if it'll put meat in the freezer unlike all the ones that end up on ar15s lol

I have used the Bushnell 1x28 on a 760 with good results. I now have the Trs-25 on a model 94 which I prefer to the 1x28. I would also look at the Vortex Sparc which I have used on AR's and may try on my model 94.

I have to ask why a red dot for a 30 06 ??? Personally I think you'd be much better served with a quality low powered, low mounted regular scope. Maybe 2x7 or 1.5x4.5 power.

I've always been of the idea, the better I can see the target the easier it is to pick a spot and hit it JMO

I find the red dot fazter to get on target, 90% of our deer are shot while doing drives.

They also have long battery life, after 5-6 years, none need to be replaced.
