Just curious if anyone has had any experience with this rifle, in this chambering? I did a bit of googling but all the results that I saw were in reference to other calibres. The reviews seem to be good, but I would still like to hear from anyone with any hands on experience.

Had mine at the range this morning. Give it an A+ for utility, and a AAA+ for function...Not a hiccup!

The stock is a nice fit. Makes it easy to clear the chicken rails at 200 meters from the bench, 10 shots, and not feel beat up.

The iron sights are the right height to use with the high comb stock.

It is on the light side for a 375H&H, and will get your attention if your not used to heavier-recoiling rifles.

I've recently acquired a pair of 'Flame thrower' stocked S2s, one in 270 Win and the other in 300WM. While I haven't 'played' with either all that much yet, they do seems to have a fairly respectable trigger for that price level. Get my cataract issue delt with then 'things' will get down to a little more serious testing.

I bought one of the bonz camo hobbies in 300wm and best 3 shot group so far has been sub 1/2 moa with federal blue box. Nowhere near as nice as a tikka but for the money it seems to be a good rifle.

Just what I was looking for, thanks

An ;) acceptable degree of accuracy for a 300wm with factory ammo in any price range, to my way of thinking :).

Ted, since you didn't mention it, it apparently wasn't a problem, but do you think there is sufficient length in the magazine box?

Good to hear they made the sights an appropriate height. My Talley ghost ring mounted on my old 602 was set up for the hog back Brno stock, and attempting to use them with the McMillan, caused me to mash my face down hard on the comb, making recoil of the Ultra a bit unpleasant.

Boomer, the factory iron sights are near perfect for my chubby face.

The magazine box measures a tad over 3.6 inches, so factory ammo fits like a glove.

Tried stacking them crooked, and jamming them in fast and hard,....no sweat. Feeds both round and flat nose ammo like a fat boy at a buffet.

Mounted a Leupold 4X Lightweight in Weaver quick-detach rings, and it has not budged or changed poi with several removal and reattach cycles.

Picture is terrible, but at least the levers are in focus.
