Family sheep hunt

Got out for a week with the family, had a great wall tent base camp, and though I had no expectations we came home with a ram!

Nice pics. Did a throw a pan of that goat meat on in your little camp?

Whats the rifle you used? Brand and caliber?

way to go ... glad to see the family going in.

i do not know where you were but it was horribly hot and warm close to your living place last week (tombstone). no way i was able to wear those jackets ....

Husqvarna 4100 7x57, Conetrol rings and a K3 with post reticle. The other rifle is my Ruger tang safety 7x57 that has seen its share of hunting in the past 20 years! Its the camp gun for Mary until I set her up with her own rifle. As for the tent, I sometimes feel I spent half my life living in one :)

Did ya have a cook up of goat meat in that tent, thats the stuff right there.

Geez don't tell the guys in Cgn. They'd tell you you can't bring a toothbrush handle, or That your clothes aren't the right brand an weigh to much, let alone bringing a wife kid. Not to mention a rifle that isn't an ultralight synthetic stocked 338 rum in case of big bad bears! Nice goat, congrats.

Congratulations, Jonathan. Great pictures, great story, and great memories made there! Not the least bit surprised you took the girls.

The river must be really high.

See you in Dawson,
Ted
