Another satisfied Girsan Regard owner!

I did a trade on a lightly used Girsan Yavuz Regard and am very happy with it. Ive never fired one before the trade but have shot a beretta 92 a few times before so i had some expectations. The double action is a little heavy but i shoot revolvers so i can live with that. Single action is very light with a crisp but short let off.
Recoil wise it fires straight back and is not snappy like the polymer framed pistols, much like the 92. The finnish is coated black and is very smooth and uniform, no doubt it will thin with holster use though. Accuracy is good, POA at 5 yards and covering the target with the sights at 15. My use for this pistol will be action shooting so the sighting is just fine and it points very naturally for me.

I suppose i should add no function issues an no need to dryfire like crazy to break it in!

I like mine. I put some beretta walnut wood grips on it looks great, And no malfunctions with around 2000 rounds fired.

Can you move the mag release to the other side on these guns? Getting a strange itch that may need to be scratched.

Yes, just remove the grips, tilt and pop out the magazine release, flip it over and twist it back into place.

Itch got scratched and will have the Compact model in my hands by the end of the week if Canada Post works as it should. If things work out I may have to pick up the full size as well. Looking for a Girsan 1911 without the damn light rail.

Congrats! The compact Girsans just have a shorter barrel than the full size, grip size is still the same unlike the Beretta compact & full size.

Love mine! Never a hiccup and all the 92 springs etc fit to help with your trigger pull. I use a 12# spring I think.

I've got a Beretta and a Girsan, i kinda like the Girsan better, but maybe just cause it's newer.

Once I have it, drop by Terrace and we can make some noise. Looking forward to shooting the gun myself. I really don;t need anymore pistols but if this one works out like I think it will maybe there is room for one more in the FS version.

I have one from EE in the mail right now. Compact model with out a rail. (Beretta centurion copy). I have a Beretta 92 Inox so will see how it compares. Already after something else tho so might try it out and move on lol
