For you lefty's looking for a Model 70

There is a righty there as well.

Ya, but the righty isn't the green laminate stock. If it was, it would look good with my other Winchesters, after I win the lotto.

Echols would get my business as well.

He wouldn't. You've even said so yourself.

What is the fascination with these overpriced K-Mart Mausers?
Blowing $13K and up, on something that still says Winchester Model 70 on the side, when significantly better options are available, seems very counter productive.
Again, I'm all for everyone to spend their imaginary money on whatever they choose, but this makes about as much sense as a $13K Salvage, Boyds stock included.
At least an authentic Mauser would hold significantly more value, and it's general understood, worldwide, that it is the place to start for an over the top, high priced hunting rifle.

Unless the point of the exercise is just to post pictures of expensive "hunting" rifles that are well beyond the reach of the average forum member in order to invoke daydreams and wistfulness? I'm all for that as well, right up until it's tied to a deranged superiority complex.

Please point out "where I said so myself". I've spent several dollars there.

Didn't Miller help design the "new" CRF Model 70? Why yes he did. In fact I think there is a picture of the rifle he built on serial number G1 in the link I posted.

If I was advertising such a high dollar piece of shooting iron, I'd take 10 minutes to clean it up and make it look it's best. That rifle/scope is a filthy mess.

Yes hard to get excited about build craftsmanship when he can't even clean it up.
Wonder what it would be worth if it was new?
