The Medium Bore Thread

My .375 M70 Alaskan, drying out a little in Northern B.C.

A Custom C 700 doing what it does best.

My first .375, a 550 CZ. Its rebarrelled to .375 Weatherby now.

Its twin in .416.

I'll dig for some more, theres a Kimber .338 and a Rem 35 Whelen somewhere.

Good with me gentlemen, .338s and .358s are in then. Hard to accept a 9.3 and not a .35 Whelen of .338 Win.

The Royal I found prints very nicely with H4895 and the 270gr Hornady Interloc, imagine I'll have it try the DGX as the Interloc's out of production. I can't remember the charge off the top of my head but I believe it was 63grs.

For what I have in the medium bore category are;
- 375's a model 70 Winchester Super Express in 375 H&H and a 375 Chatfield Taylor based on a 700 Remington action.

- A Zastava in ;) ".366 Wagner"

- And in 35, a pair in 358 Norma Magnum. A model 1651 Husqvarna and a model 68DL Schultz & Larsen.

H. Dumoulin (FN) carbine in .358 Win.

Can everybody please stop posting pictures of FS Rifles! My safe is full, and I do not want to be tempted to get another safe just to satisfy my Full Stock Desires.

:(

:) Loves them I do...

Ten pounds worth of 404 Jeffery on a P14.
Built by my Brother as a surprise for my 60th ten yrs ago.
Bevan King barrel lots of goodies and is a tackdriver with practically any bullet from 450 gr. on down.
Irons are sighted for 55 yds. with a 450 Woodleigh.

Closest I have in a med bore right now is a pair of 303British. I don't think they cut it for this thread.

I do have a 35Whelen in the works, but it won't be ready for a bit. No moose tag this year so I can wait.

My .338 is not especially impressive but I like to think of it as a medium bore:

At 6.6 lbs loaded it certainly feels like one; especially with its favourite bullets; 300 grain woodleighs and 250 grain hornadies.
