after several years and resisting the urge to buy a Ruger Charger i finally gave in and picked one up.
if there is a more useless pistol around i dont know what it would be.
but i just had too.
i have far to many 10/22's to not have one Charger around for the novelty of it.

picked this one up from Shooters Choice (thanks Dale!)

i did notice that the model number for this one was not showing on Rugers web page.
i even what back into the archives and couldnt find it.

so i fired a email off to Ruger and asked them about it.

here was the email i sent them;

quick question.
i just purchased a Ruger Charger from my local gun store but i do not see my model number listed on the Ruger web page?
my Charger is a Model 4921.
i see every model listed from 4917-4926 with the exception of 4921???

what is different about the 4921 and why is it not listed, im just curious because i just purchased one.

thanks in advance for your help and reply.

and their reply; (like 2 hours later - that was fast!)

Response:
We are switching over to all black polymer stocks for the regular production models. The 15rd models with wood stocks 4917 & 4921 are now special order models (although that is not yet indicated on our website). Your model has been discontinued. Thank you for your inquiry.

and to further that from Dale at Shooters Choice when i asked him about it;

Yes you correct on the SKU numbers, they don't match the Ruger's Web Site.
The # 4921 is basically the Canadian SKU for Model # 4917.

so it looks like if you want a Charger with a wood stock you better get one before they are all gone!
plastic is the new normal i guess.

how the new pistol looks bone stock

i deserve it i know.
but i cant in good conscience call myself a Ruger 10/22 fanboy and not have one, can i now.

its my cross to carry.

More like your burden. That thing looks heavy. If that's a pistol, i'm an Aardvark.

Does that take... AR grips? Must be an AR Variant. See, no mag issues at all.
