I have purchased primers that apparently don't exist on S&B's web sites...

I can probably return them from the small shop I purchased them from. I would like to load .44 magnum with these, however there is no part number on the packaging and I can't find anything that would lead me to believe that they 100% appropriate for loading this caliber (other than the fact "revolver cartridges" is listed on the packaging).

Has anyone used these before? They were $40/1k local.

A large rifle primer is deeper than a Large Pistol primer, so I would say they won't fit. Try seating one, and it will probably not seat flush.

if it does, load away. but they look like rifle primers, not pistol.

Yes - they stick out a little too far in 5 different brass types.

Oh well. I will pick up some CCI large pistol magnum primers this weekend.

I will use the S&B mag primers in winter hunting x08 rounds with ball powders.
