I have seen a few Nork or Poly receivers go for $1500 on Gun Broker....

It seems counter intuitive to us, but the receivers have a very good rep down south!

I remember a post on the M14 forum, an American was jokingly pondering about a few Norcs getting up and walking across the border from Alberta. They're THAT hungry for them. Gotta admit though, the profits that could be made from such a stupid idea are not half bad.

No, unlike the milled Norinco Receivers, SA receivers are cast.

Heel stamped Poly Tech M14/S do command a premium price here in the states, but $2800 USD is not realistic.
Also, the M14/S were never sold under the 'Legend Series' brand.

Barrels are cold hammer forged. Receivers are milled, cast, stamped.

Receivers can be milled from hammer forged receiver blanks.

I like Poly Tech receivers for their dimensional correctness.
