11-87 short barrel.....who sells them??

You can have a longer barrel cut to 18.6, preferably by a 'smith who knows what they're doing. Go under and there are "issues" but keep it over and you're OK. I'm not sure that 18'5+ were ever available, I've certainly never seen one.

I was hoping to find another so i didnt have to cut down my barrel, any length would do if i could cut one down. I believe they made a 1187 police model with an 18.5", could be hard to find though.

They actually made a 14" stock SG, not modded (might have even been 12" ?). Not many of them out there but I've seen them.

Yes it was a 14" barrel, unfortunately with a 14" the gun become restricted.

.

Yes, figured it must have been 14" ... was too many years ago to remember for sure, and figured it had to be restricted.

I was at a gun smiths shop and he just finished parkerizing it. Cool looking little 1187 though !

They currently list 14 and 18 as LE barrel lengths - either one makes it restricted. The shortest barrel currently listed other than LE is 26.

Just Found! - buried in the weirdness that is Rem's web site - listed as part number F243883 18.5 inch cylinder bore barrel, bead sight, not threaded for chokes, black oxide finish - US$ 169.42

Any dealer that sells Remington should be able to order it, as long as they have the part number - be prepared to wait. Or try Brownells.
