I do very much hope I'm wrong wrt that ><

No, you're right. They keep their most "up to date stuff" pretty close. To be honest, I enjoy the safety set up when combined with the T97.ca LHG. Yeah, some people follow the "my finger is my safety" philosophy, but there is a reason all firearms have them. At some point there will be a reason to use it, and I find having the two safeties just gives more options as far as manipulation goes, not to mention it's very useful when teaching others how to shoot (as in showing them that the gun won't fire until they do A and B). Just gives them peace of mind, I find.

The QBZ-95-1 THumb safety would definitely be nice but I'm still amazed at all the features omitted for the rifles we have. Wrong sights, no bayonet lug, what happened? Th first sample rifles that came in had them, so they re-tooled to give us less? To this day, I still don't get it.

Recent photos of the People's Armed Police trailing that FAMAS-style rail we all saw a while back

Really wish someone would bring this in. Im sure lot of people like their iron sights like I do. IMO this rail look much better then the alternatives.

The person who designed this kit is from Hongkong named Jiahao Lee. His brand is "ACP". He worked on several PLA firearm modification kits. I have contacted him last year through Weibo asking for this kit but he says this kit will not work on T97NSR.

The problem is, the front post of our T97 has a different shape compare to QBZ95. And since this kit requires locking onto the front post of the firearm, he needs to modifiy the locking system in order for the kit to fit our needs. Too bad he had no access to T97NSR.... the airsoft version in HK has QBZ95 style front post....so yeah.....we will have to wait.....

Sorry guys, this topic has run its course. Please feel free to use the black rifle forum to continue the discussion. Thanks.
