Who does the best custom work for 1911s?

If this question were asked in the US, there would be dozens or hundreds of recommendations. Would be nice to get some idea - out of the thousands of gunsmiths in Canada, which have shown a specialty and proficiency with the 1911 platform.

Depending on what you want done? give Casey a call at TacOrd, he installed the ambi safety on my Vickers/ Nighthawk, and I know that both him and Peter did some 1911 course, it was a recognized course with an excellent reputation IIRC ? I thinking the type of course was a "complete" build from just the frame up etc? Worth a call at least. Cheers

If Dlask and TacOrd were in the States, they'd be backed up for a hundred years and they'd be charging several times what they do now for their stuff.

^^ this, I was just there on Tues, and he has tables of stuff to do, and Peter is working there as well. He's busier now that he's retired, than when he was working, LOL.
