Location for indoor range near GTA?

Vaughan would be ideal. They would catch business from Toronto and surrounding gta Areas. And if they keep there membership fee`s reasonable other facilities would be more competitive with there fees. I bit of competition in the these businesses is all beneficial to members.

East GTA. Like others said. If you do some research, surveys in where the highest demand is, anywhere within an hour will likely work. I waited 2 years to get into a club. I was almost joining a club 2 hours away.

Some place north of the GTA, north Brampton, Caledon, Bolton etc. Other option would be west end of Mississauga borderline Burlington/Oakville.

I live in this area and I would suggest Brooklin, Uxbridge or Port Perry. This is all less than 1 hour to Toronto and the new 407 extension just opened which improves access.

This area is less populated and this would allow an indoor and possibly an outdoor range.

I would love to see an upscale range.

Would be nice to be able to reach out (say 300yds to be realistic) with some of the long range rifles without waiting for an ORA event...

union station, there was one there not long ago.

or Mississauga or Brampton, Brampton has a location near Winston Churchill and 401 that would be perfect. I've been eye balling it for a year now.

Caledon or North Brampton.
Close to Pearson Airport.
It's in the "Hills of Headwaters" recreation area already attracting a lot of people/potential customers.
Tends to be a higher income area.
The only decent ranges with indoor facilities are either one hour east in Gormley, one hour west in Waterloo, one hour north in Barrie or Collingwood, or one hour south in Mississauga.
There's a waiting list at all the ranges that are closer than that.

That may be in the no-gun Toronto zone. I am not sure if that is just Toronto proper or the whole GTA

Actually, the airport is in the city of Mississauga (fyi). Toronto is on the other side of the 427. I think the 'no-gun zone' is Toronto-proper only.

Are you looking for indoor only? Are you also considering outdoor? Having both would be awesome, especially if the outdoor is more than just a 100 yards. We need a 1 mile range, but even 600 would great.

There are plenty of areas to check. Start north/west, through Caledon and Halton Hills, then into Dufferin county. I would also look up along the 400, as far as King City. You want a place that has good access. Target gets a lot a traffic, despite being up in the middle of no-where (Gormley...) because it's just up the 404/DVP.

Then there is west, along the QEW/407. There is Oakville, Burlington, around the golden horseshoe and also up by Guelph.

Then, if you really must... check east. Out along the 401. Markham, Pickering, perhaps even Ajax...

There are lot of potential places. I would think the GTA is ripe with opportunity. If you guys can open within an hour's drive of the 400/401 intersect, that would not only be great news, but it's certain to be a success.

Yup. Mississauga has had a couple of pistol ranges in the past. The city could definitely use a range.

Indoor only? Markham. Close enough to the city, close to highways 404, 407...even the 401 and 400. Pretty affluent community, lots of industrial/manufacturing areas an indoor range shouldn't create any hiccups. There is a small one (indoor range) north of there that caters mostly to clubs that rent range space.

If such a business like this opened in Markham that had lots of room to shoot, had a great retail store with good pricing and inventory...they'd see me there 2x a week!

Bradford Ontario, small place, about 35-40 minutes north of toronto, 20 minutes south of barrie, 30 minutes from keswick, less than 10 minutes from newmarket! several places close by, tons of land to choose an area, cheaper prices than toronto forsure!! not many GUN cluns close by! and ZERO open clubs!!
