So, took the 22 out and fired off 2 five round groups.
havent shot a thing since I left the reserves so I have been waiting to try out the little rife, didnt want to look silly in front of my wife.

1st group was 7/8"
2nd group was under 1/2"
This was from 75' in the prone position.

I figure its good enough to look like I know what I'm doing and I can only improve.

Ill post a pic when I get home. Its a custom 10/22.
Trigger is an all metal ruger
boyds stock
dlask barrel
Dar receiver
cheapo rings and 2-9 scope

Its technically my wife's rifle, I had to find something small and pretty for her....

Takes a real man to admit he shoots his wife's rifle . . . an even bigger man to show the pictures when she beats him!

Welcome back Nagol!

75 feet was the best I could do at home. Dogs, cats, chickens have to be avoided while maintaining a clear and secure area to shoot.
Off of a bench with bags or a bipod will improve my groups i hope.

Good shooting stay with basic's by shooting a few boxes of the same ammo settle down shoot lots and see where the groups go.After some preliminaries try some different ammo and keep shooting as you will find out what ammo the gun likes.Stay with what you have and learn the gun that is the fun part. When you make the next move you then can see which way it went. When all is said and done that will be a good baseline to work up from and keep having fun with that little girl of yours and she may also become a shooter you never know. Some basic cleaning will also help. Keep smiling.
