I have bought majority of my collection from Epps and consider there knowledge and service to be above par. I would say a store that is consistently busy with lineups probably has a reason for it.

They are a great place to shop in person or the internet. But a horrible place to get any gunsmithing jobs done. Very unprofessional, unorganized and incommunicative.
I have had both sides of the coin. I waited 10 months for a Walther PP 380 rebarrel. I was promised a 6 week turnaround.
Regarding verification of rebarrel I was assured by another respected gunsmith in Ontario that it does not take more than a week at most to complete.

I had a luger rebarreled once. Took over a year and a half before I got it. It was not from epps. The hold up seemed to be the gunsmith at the time.

This isn't "my case" and guess what...? It isn't yours either. So you can go on and on (and on) about refunds all you like, but that is up to customer and Epps, not you. And right now, it isn't happening, so let it go already...

Bad Lieutenant this guy PROXYMAN reminds me of a few EX MEMBERS that WERE BAND AND KEEP GETTING BACK IN UNDER THE WIRE TO STIR THE POT.

Not trying to "stir the pot", but the "estate" problem would have still been an issue had the buyer been allowed 12.6 acquisition, regardless of the re-barreling. For my edification, is there not a process in place to ensure transferability when selling firearms from an estate?

I would very much like to see this question answered.

As far as I know, an estate can dispose of firearms. That is why a spouse or other relative is allowed to take
possession after a death.
However, without being a lawyer, I would guess that the estate must be settled and not have any disputes
before items that form part of estate can be transferred to a buyer.
Also, I would suspect that a prohib that is part of a estate and in the process of being converted to a restricted would complicate
and prolong the issue.

"This means that the estate under which the firearm was being sold through our store as a consignment has not been contacted, or has not offered their approval to release this firearm for transfer to the new owner. "

this is the seller problem not the customer or the CFC !!!!!!

I've had good, and bad service. Mostly good.

This has been my experience as well. Hit and miss depending on who you get to deal with on that day. I'm not local to them and have made the 13 hour round trip to buy something from them more than once but will probably just do Internet purchases with them from now on unless I'm in the area. It's a long way to go to potentially get treated like $hit depending on who the salesman is that day. :yingyang:

And why exactly are you trying to suppress all the members from voicing their opinion?
What is your game?

I'm not trying to "suppress" anyone or anything. The customer's nephew erroneously made an issue out of this when there wasn't one. A mod had already locked this thread once. The issue seems to have been resolved between the customer and the vendor. This is essentially between them and really no one's else's business. Despite that, the vendor has already offered a full explanation. The complaining nephew has basically disappeared. The case is closed. I'm just wondering why some people are still picking at what is now a seemingly well-picked over carcass of a thread. Like you, for instance... what is your "game" here...?

Then why are you still posting????

A full or lame explanation didn't resolve the issue.

But you still didn't answer the question "what is your game"? trying to silence everyone.

Then why are you still posting????

Because you keep asking me questions? Why are you still posting?

A full or lame explanation didn't resolve the issue.

What about Epps explanation was "lame"? And what about this issue has not yet been "resolved" for you? (and why does it need to be? resolved for you, that is...)

But you still didn't answer the question "what is your game"? trying to silence everyone.

I did answer. I'm not trying to "silence" anyone, nor do I have a game.

You haven't answered my question. What is your game here? Do you have some sort of stake in this affair? Why do you feel Epps owes you any sort of explanation about what has taken place between them and a customer? (that is, any explanation beyond what they've already provided). Lastly, you seem to be getting upset about this? Why?
