I recently purchased this for a build but decided to go with a complete. I sold it yesterday to fellow member. Upon closer inspection I noticed , what appeared to be less matarial on one side, where the buffer tube screws in . So before I take his money , I need to know if this is the way it's supposed to be. I looked this thing over several times and only noticed this last night.View attachment 64999View attachment 65000

Google was no help:)

How is a counterbore in the threads for the buffer tube related to clearance for the forward assist?

Please explain how a counterbore in the rear of the threads that accept the buffer tube provide clearance for the forward assist.

Hmm odd considering my Norc CQA has the same amount of material on each side of the buffer tube, and its got a forward assist.

I'm calling malarkey on the "clearance" for the FA.

LOL, before this thread goes crazy, could someone post a pic of different stripped lower? Thanks.
I don't want to sell an out of spec lower , is all.

NEA , I think. But is it common with all lowers to have matarial missing from one side? If so then it don't matter who made it.
It just looks so odd,as if it wasn't done on purpose.

NEA didn't make our lowers. It was made that way on purpose.

I would strip mine, but its a PITA to install the Magpul M93 stock.

Even in blue prints, its even on each side.
