Most commonly known for their kick ass .357's, they have launched the new Coonan pistol in .45acp earlier this year. Our 2016 Shot show order is going into build queue this month and should be ready for a November delivery!

We didn't want to offer up until we got build confirmation....so here goes!

Actually, it's not new. It's a little known fact that the first 1911 to be chambered in .45 acp was made around 1911.

Those aren't your grandpa's 1911's.... Those a different take on a classic design. I for one love the beefier lines and no-nonsense, utilitarian feel of the Coonan 1911.

It looks like you can hammer nails with it!!!!!

I love their .357, mainly because it's a 1911 in .357. The craftsmanship on it leaves a lot to be desired however, i hope they cleaned it up a bit on their new .45acps.

I'd have to agree with that. Although the Coonan is still a lot of fun to shoot and quite accurate.

They should make this 45 platform in 10mm as well, and heck, throw in a 6" long slide version too.

Linkless barrel, pivot trigger, external extractor...

Saint Browning is probably spinning in his grave, but an interesting piece nonetheless.

This thing is closer to a Glock 21 than a 1911.

yes the .357 has a bigger grip from front to back and a bit side to side to accommodate the ammunition...
