cz shadow opinions?

I have the 75 Shadowline which is the same gun only without the rail and FLDC. The Shadowline reset is a smidge shorter but no shorter than my 85 Combat that was tuned by Ken Soucie a few years ago. I wanted the 75 Shadowline so I bought it. I don't shoot it any better in matches than I would with an 85 Combat, 75B, Shadow, Tanfoglio or M&P. It is the gun I shoot at matches though. I think it pyches out Paul H. at out club matches or maybe not.:>)

The regular Shadow is a very nice gun, the various upstream models have nice features that you may or may not be able to take advantage of. If you have the money and want the upstream models go for it. Don't expect to be able to shoot significantly better just enjoy the experience.

ps If I had a Shadow and was a A, B, or C Class shooter in IPSC I would know I had a gun that I could not out shoot, Still the Shadow 2 is.....

I was shooting a Shadow 2 at the match and worked the table with Wolverine for a fair bit, I didn't field a single question regarding the gun coming with a decocker. And I answered a lot of questions regarding the gun and it's improvements. Sweaty or oily hands won't lead to an ND unless you're doing it wrong. As others have said, use the roll method.
And yes, a decoker ruins the trigger on a CZ, it takes the best trigger in the division and turns it into something like a semi decent Tanfo trigger. iicccccckkkkk

Careful you go down that road and one might assume a stock G 17 trigger is their equal to both the CZ and Tanfoglios given Vogel's win in Greece.

I know we all are fan boys of our guns but it is the archer not the arrow which might be counter to all the Shadows appearing for sale on the EE recently. I suppose it won't be long before we begin to sprout world champions among us. When it comes to handguns we buy, Barnam and Bailey lives among us and I am no exception.:>)

Yep, Vogel's win and Ben's 2nd with a Beretta 92. I was not suggesting Tan was the best just stating it is more than just "semi decent" and that although very good, CZ may not have "the best trigger in the division" as that, after a certain level of quality and proficiency is a matter of personal preference.

Just for the record I like both and I prefer all metal guns over polymer even tho I have a mix of everything in my collection. That being said I dont shoot either brand in IPSC. I shoot what I want to shoot and that preference could change any day or never, who knows, but I shoot to have fun like 90% of the competitors out there. The gun I use is of little consequence to where I will place at the end of the day. Had I kept shooting from the early 90's till now instead of taking close to 20 years off in between, and even now, if I took more than 1 or 2 days a month to practice, maybe things could or would be different, or maybe not, but I know Id still shoot what I like regardless of what the top 1% shoots, but thats just me.
 
I'm talking triggers, in case you didn't actually read my post. A person can most certainly win, if they are a talented shooter, with a sub optimal gun, it happens all the time actually.
 
I love my CZ shadowline. It gets babied allot. Never had one issue. Never regretted the money spent.

For me it fit me better then any other handgun I tired and honestly I love the feel of metal. I would be broke if I took it out as much as I want.
