I fail to see the point of these torture tests. The cheap sloppy tolerance gun will always win. I personally don't expose my gun to being in mud, sand or water.

I think they're interesting because shooters typically don't run their guns hard, and don't run them hard in adverse conditions. The problem is a lot of shooters seem to have teeny fragile egos and if their pet gun doesn't perform well, they have a fit.
