I have an M&P that I would like to feel more like a 20 to 30 pines per inch grip, instead of the slippery polymer. Skateboard tape has it's pro's: it works well, I can take it off, and it's relatively cheap if I cut my own from skateboard tape from the skateboard shop. The con's of skateboard tape are that the tape job shifts after a while from sweat and use, then it has to be redone.
I would rather not stiple the frame/grip myself and make a mess. The only con's I can see are that it is non-reversible, cannot shoot IPSC with it (in production anyway, not sure about other divisions) and it costs to have someone do it.
Arguments for and against?
