One of my daughters connected on Saturday. A decent mule deer buck at about 150y (according to the range finder). Shot with 130 Speer BTSP out of the .270 - a "light" deer load I worked up a few weeks ago with 43 grains of IMR4320. Did a great job killing this deer, for such a light recoiling load.
The rifle was unloaded until just before she got set up on the sticks to shoot, but somehow she managed to get the job done.
