Hi,

I've been sitting recuperating from double hernia surgery, and longing to get to the range - about the only thing I can do is surf the intergoogles, and shop for guns and I keep coming back to Coopers. So now to my questions.

Are Coopers worth the money?
Are they twice the rifle of my Annie Match 54 or my 1907 (I mean they basically start at twice the price of 64 actioned Annie's)

Had a chance to play with a JSR, it was quite nice... Is it better than a Anschutz 54? don't think so. Better than a 64? Most probably, just like the 54 is nicer than the 64...

Personally, for that kind of $... I'd give serious thought to have something built to "my" liking with a Stiller 2500XR Rimfire repeater action... in a nice manlicher walnut stock...

Wow a Stiller would be nice, but at $1500USD just for the action, that's a lot of coin. Probably cheaper than a new Fortner, when it was all said and done, but probably it by much.

Puts a smile on my face every time I shoot it.
Personally I don't fine it as comfortable to shoot at the grip as some of my other firearms ( less angle , more like a shotgun) but it doesn't stop me from being accurate with it.

This one shoots as good as it looks.

Cooper firearms will have a couple of reps at Prophet River on Saturday, September 17th. Will have lots of rifles here to look at!

Love to come out but it's a bit of a commute from Nova Scotia.

(Someone just needs to convince Mr Smiley to relocate back to his old family homestead, then I'd be all set, LOL)
