For this, and all online orders, your half of the tickets for the draw will be filled out by us here and mailed out with your purchase

These will be gone in no time. By the time the cheapo's letters get in the tickets will be gone there is only 500 Canada wide. IMO people should be supporting the sponsors anyway. If they can't afford a box of targets then they won't be able to afford to feed this beast . Thanks Wanstalls. I'm in

It's not a 1 in 500 chance to win if people write in for a "No purchase necessary" ticket as stated in the official rules. Until the close date, who knows what the odds will be, considering anyone across the country can write in for a free entry?

Section 4.1 of the Criminal Code states otherwise:

4.1 The Criminal Code

In relation to lotteries and games of chance, the Criminal Code states:

206. (1) Every one is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years who (…)
(f) disposes of any goods, wares or merchandise by any game of chance or any game of mixed chance and skill in which the contestant or competitor pays money or other valuable consideration; (…)
In effect this section prohibits a requirement that a product or service be purchased as the sole condition of contest participation. Where other means of entry are available, such as using a "reasonable hand‑drawn facsimile" or obtaining entry forms by means other than making a purchase, illegal contests under paragraph 206(1)(f) are avoided since the purchase requirement has been removed.

They replied to that because he wanted the rimfire targets. Ready back a bit further. Don't jump to conclusions.

The guy was asking if he could buy cheap rimfire targets instead for the contest and that was their answer. It's not a buy anything in the store and get a entry. Hope your not a lawyer.

If you read, you cannot have a contest that the only way to get in is to buy a product. There has to be an alternative way of entering.

I do read. Now why don't you go back and read the thread. It says you can write in for an entry and send it back you pay postage and by the time you do the 500 tickets will be gone.

If you read, it says right in the contest details that there is no purchase necessary. You can simply mail-in an entry...

First off, quit trying to spin this like I have made any kind of negative comment about the contest or Wanstalls. I was pointing out the rules to people who may have had the assumption that they have a 1/500 chance of winning so they don't complain or cry foul if there are 700 entrants instead of 500. You drama inducing white nights are such attention whores on here, I swear!

Secondly, even on the face of me explaining that rule, as well as it being available for you to read at the link they provided, you STILL don't get it, do you??? There are 500 tickets available to people who purchase the product, NOT 500 in total! If they sell 500 cases and 200 people write in for an entry, then you have a One in SEVEN hundred chance to win!

At least your consistent in your lack of comprehension and you weren't limited to inferring that people should not support Wanstalls because people are eligible for free entry in the contest! I bought my first rifle, second rifle, first hand gun, all of my ammo, a boat load of accessories and refer people to wanstalls constantly! They are my neighbourhood Oasis and have always had my full support, making your comments as irritating as your inability to think before you comment! Calling anyone that writes on for an entry a "cheapo" is such trollish behaviour. Grow up. Part of me wants to write in 1000 times for entries just to make your chances of winning one in five hundred (see what I did there?) and if I win, give the prize back to Wanstalls so they can raffle it again!

I will miss seeing that beast on the counter when I come into the store though guys, makes you feel like you are in a bad ass armory!
