Meaford Long Range Steel Challenge (2-day PRS points race match)

About 275 yards. Big close targets, but you really had to move to get off all of your shots and you had to shoot them in a certain order which meant having to locate them through the slits in the wall before engaging them.

You have a year to shoot, practice, hone your skill and come back for the next year's match.

I'll be ready next year...now I know what to practice, and what to expect.

Don't take my comments as criticism, it wasn't meant to be...it was a suggestion intended to
help introduce novice shooters to a new sport in Canada...I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

I am, not speaking on behalf of the organizers, i was an RO and view all comments and suggestions as appreciative. there should be a an after action report following the match. There was allot of things that worked great and comments and feedback from competitors can only improve any future event.

I just went through all the pics and am super jealous that I was not able to attend.

It is great to see that people ran whatever equipment they had. The guy running the K31 is awesome!

Just wondering why there is no categories, like:

Open
Tactical
Senior over 50
Junior under 17

I really liked Stage 1, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 19.
The most challenge for me is "Should I dial the scope turrets on the different distance or learn to use the hash marks for different distance?" The latter is the tricky part, when you are set the distance on the hash mark, you cannot zoom in or out and shoot the target.

That's why you run a FFP scope

Now that we have a club and access to a range that lets us teach this properly, we are going to look at having some clinics to show you guys how to do some of these stages in a much more efficient manner.

There were open, tactical, and senior categories.

We would probably get one of the pads again. We want to run some kind of clinic to help people get up to speed on this type of shooting.
