Are you guys familiar with these? They're a pretty cool looking, very slim little pocket gun. They presently have 3 inch barrels, but if there was a 4.2 inch version available for Canada, would there by any interest in buying them? In this pic, I basically photo-shopped the barrel to 4.2 inches for comparison. Everything else would be the same, or close;

Canadian variant with 106mm barrel
Length - 6.7 inches (17 cm)
Width - 0.66 inches (1.68 cm)
Weight - approx. 14 oz (0.4 kg)
Price US$230 - US$490 (depending on options)
Cartridge: 9mm or .45 ACP
You can use either caliber-size barrels on the same lower.
The lower stores 2 extra rounds.

Call it what you like, anything with a 4" plus barrel isn't a derringer (a bond arms isn't a derringer either as far as I'm concerned). Why would I want a 2 shot pistol that's bigger than my 8 shot Walther PP. Just sayin

Hey, don't blame me, I didn't write the firearms laws...

Pretty cool looking? This thread should be called "The Ugliest Handgun Thread" and you started it off right. LOL!

I said the DTDD (on the right) was pretty cool looking. Unfortunately, if we were to get them up here, the artist's impression on the left is what we'd get (as I said above; not my fault). I was just asking if there would be any interest, considering there appears to be a steady market for the Bond Arms derringers, also with 4.2" bbls and 2-shot capacities, despite the fact that many complain they are like bricks. I take it you're not interested. Got it. Thanks for stopping by...

I have an American Arms Derringer, 3", in 10mm. I am too afraid of breaking my hand to shoot anything more than .40 S&W (with special clips) and even that is really uncomfortable. Two shots per session on the range is lots. I can't imagine a .45 ACP Derringer with only 0.66 inches of frame and grip to transfer the recoil into your hand. Like holding the pointy end of a hatchet, THIS is gonna hurt.

In 2011 I think (whenever they first showed up in gun mags and shows), when I worked in the US I asked them about building 400-500 in a CDN legal variant (small business venture between myself and an American shop) and they say they had no interest.

I'm not sure if that has been addressed more recently or not.
