Doubt he could get me shootin it by tomorrow night unfortunately. I want a moose/black bear/wolf NOW with it. Might give him a call/PM on Monday though as I sure do like TODBARTELL's posts and such. Certainly support the homeboys.

If you buy the M70, I'll send you a new Weaver brand full length rail, or a 30mm DNZ one piece mount (your choice) :)

HOW MUCH? Love to put a one piece'r on it. Definately getting it as I am treating myself to something nice after splitting with my wife of 20 years................that controlling, money-grubbing, "thing" is now no longer in control of the money and me. I am truly wanting something nice that I can look at and admire as a big-ol' EFF-YOU to the ex. She'd literally have a brain anurisym and a coronary if I did this while we were married. Cant' wait to tell her....................

YAHOOOOO!!!!
I JUST BOUGHT IT!!!!!! (Winchester)
Will post pics tonight. Gotta put a scope on it for a mock-up.
got some blued weaver bases for now. Gonna put my Minox 2-10x40 ZR5 on it as that is about
perfect for my NOW upcoming Dall sheep hunt. Went as grizzly lookout a few weeks ago to the Fort Liard area as 2 friends hunted. Saw about
25 sheep (2 legal size rams) now gonna go as the shooter. Best mountain gun I never thought about buying. This gun is LIGHT.

I know, what you are talking about. I was in the same situation a couple years ago. Now I have my ###y street bike, a safe full of guns, supply of ammo and more ... And I work less hrs! Have more money in my pocket......freedom.... haha....enjoy your life, do what is right for you, your happiness will be her payback!

PICS AS PROMISED!!!! BUT, of course I bought 2 weaver bases and one is the wrong one, so no scope mounting tonight, much to my dismay!!!

the trigger pull is 3.5lbs over 5 pulls on my RCBS guage. It weighs 6.7 lbs as it is, but once the scope/rings/bases/sling go on it, I think it will be no more than 8 lbs. I LOVE IT!!

Beautiful rifle, Thanks for sharing with us.
Once you have the proper scope mounts and the scope you are going to use all mounted up, I would like to know how much the final package weighs.

A little late to the party but glad you picked the right one. I have looked at many a sako and to me they feel like an expensive tikka. I even bought a tikka and it doesn't hold a candle to the feeling of my m70's. Very nice looking gun good luck on the hunts.

I think you made the right decision...

I'm a big Sako fan and I already owned an SS A7.
Mine was in .270 win, it was a good rifle and very accurate but IMO Sako cut corners too much on this model.
I bought a Sako 75 Grey Wolf and its a much better rifle than an A7, this was a good decision.

New Winchester M70's are very good rifles. You won't find any bad reviews.
I think you will have no regrets !
