Fastfire III for rimfire, thoughts?

Anyone using a FF 3 on their plinker? Curious what you think of it? How is the dot intensity in bright sunlight? I am looking to put one on my Magnum Research MLR. Not interested in a red dot as I don't like the tiny field of view and I have enough scoped rifles.

Thoughts from users/owners only please?

The Fastfire series in in fact a reddot optic. Your issues with FOV are solved if you use the reddot as it was designed by leaving both eyes OPEN. I had a FF3 on my CZ858 and it was great.

I guess I should clarify, I shoot a red dot with both eyes open but I find the small tube size of the Sparc, TRS, etc to be a little "tunnel" like. I like that the FF 3 is open, heads up, tubeless and without much else to look at or through.

I have a FF II on a .22/.410 combo and it perfect for fast shots in the bush. Even bright sunny winter days have no issues picking up the dot. My favourite setup for birds & bunnies in the bush.

I agree completely. The Fast Fire style red dots are much better at providing a clear field of view. However I have found the Fast Fire to be a bit fragile (ie: adjustment screw head easily damaged, attachment screw easily stripped, etc,) I have a C-More and it is much sturdier.

It's my steel challenge rifle - a regular 10/22 with a TandemKross Advantage charging handle/scope base, Dlask 12" SR-22 barrel, radiused & polished Ruger bolt & Kidd single stage trigger

I had a FFIII on my dog walker but it started eating batteries even when it was off so it is back at Burris right now. That said they sure have a great warranty, lifetime on their electronic sights, so even though I have problems with it right now I would still recommend them.


I also like C-Mores though I prefer the Railway to TEG's little one

^this is what I'd like to hear more about. I've come VERY close to buying a Burris rifle scope but was scared-off from the customer service/warranty stories I'd read. (internet talk, so who really knows) Their FFII E1 scopes have very nice glass in my opinion, very cool reticle...but I've yet to spring for one. ALMOST said yet to "risk" buying one.

I look forward to hearing how the warranty service went, customer service, turn-around, etc.
 
It had to go to ON and then gets forwarded to Burris from there which took about 2 weeks, I got the notice they (Burris in the US) had received it yesterday, so we shall see how fast they take care of me from this point on and I will post whenever anything happens.
 
I got a cmore on my ar15, definitely recommend as well and you can change the dot size(extra cost of modules) to whatever you want.
