It's sad to see people still think Chinese Government control the production. NOPE NOPE NOPE. In MODERN DAY CHINA that stared 40 years ago, the firearm manufacture EMEI (the civilian firearm division under Jianshe Corp) controls the production and they have their own production schedule that has nothing to do with Chinese government. They are on their own providing production to various clients (including Norinco) just like any other normal firearm manufactures. And EMEI that makes type 81 for Canada is not even the major supplier of Chinese military firearm in the first place. So if TI want to rush the production or meet the claimed delivery date, they DO NOT NEED TO SWAY the entire Chinese government, this is ridiculous.

If the gun did not arrive at the end of Q3, the first batch of T81 for Canada is simply in production queue, as EMEI have multiple clients and different orders, they will arrange their production accordingly. whether the T81 can be delivery on time depends on the pressure and communication between TI and EMEI. But since we have such small number of orders, it is hard for TI to pressure a giant factory with multiple giant clients.

Hey youre the guy with contacts deep inside emei!! Why havent YOU given us an update yet? Have you run out of lies yet??

You really believe that the Chinese government has no control, what-so-ever, over any in-country manufacturers, especially that which is part of their military-industrial complex? (do you also believe that the US gov't has zero influence over american defence contractors?) Now that is "sad". Regardless, the point seems to have gone right over your head. Whether dealing with the Chinese government or a arms supplier to the Chinese military, it doesn't matter, for either way, of course a Chinese arms manufacturer will give preference to the Chinese military over a small, foreign firearms vendor. It would be foolish to think otherwise...

Yeah... that's what's going on here [rolls eyes]. TI wants production delayed so they can make a few bucks in interest. They are losing more in refunds due to the delay then they would make in interest...

That's what pre-orders are all about. Orders for "pre"- production. If they were already made and sitting on a shelf ready to go, then you'd just be "ordering" them...

problem is the factory doesnt care about T.I and you guys really.. months/season/even year is subject to change without notice. Depends how they feel about this export.

Im just hoping the best for you guys thats all! I remember everytime im buying a gun online and i have to wait for the RCMP to approve the new transfer... FEELS LIKE A PRE-ORDER to me because i gotta wait for 2-3 weeks...

I couldnt breathe without knowing when ill get my gun.

We appreciate the support from many, and as a token of appreciation (as well as dispel claims we are just banking people's money for interest-profit) we will be offering pre-order only bonuses of a free extra spare magazine and sling. Anyone with an existing preorder will automatically get this bonus, as well as any new orders :)

Our website and listings have been updated

So just to confirm that each rifle will come with 3 magazines and a sling, and a manual as well I assume?

Do Chinese government control overall firearm exportation in general? yes.
Do Chinese government control when EMEI produce this specific batch of T81 canada version? No.
Do TI need to go through entire Chinese Government to ask for a faster production? NO.
Can TI pressure EMEI for the T81 batch delivery? Not really due to they are still in production queue.

They look really long in that pic. Also, no barrel ribs (for operator's pleasure).

Ill be waiting for reviews last time i jumped on a t97 and it turned out to be poorly made

Poorly made in what way? If you don't mind me asking. Just interested in knowing about recent Polytech quality. My only experience with Polytech is an old Polytech legend (quality was superb).
