I've had nothing but problems with both those rifles so in comparison the type 81 gets the benefit of the doubt in my book. Haven't ordered one yet though.
Many of us already have those. Myself, I like variety, that's why I jumped on the preorder. The fact it's as close as we're gonna get for an AK in Canada is a large part of the enthusiasm for the T81.

Not gonna happen! The Libs already said they will put gun classification into the RCMP's hands and they already OK'd it after a 4+ year look at it. If they were gonna prohib it they already would have and the Gov would have backed them all the way.
I was able to shoot a lot of guns during Q3...I'm not sure i'd be so glad to spend $1,200 on a gun that used to be less than $800, just to pointlessly rub it into a thread about an entirely different rifle...not sure what the point you're trying to get across is...Glad I went for an 858 instead, was able to use it during Q3

it's not price cause at the moment, they both cost the same, however neither is available...brand new anyways...

Does anyone else currently have a Type 81 rifle in Canada? No? Okay well then that's why people want them. Plus they look like a good rugged design that is currently in service and apparently does it's job well.
Don't be naive. They'll say it was misclassified. They've done it before.

I have run lots of Russian 7.63x39 surplus ammo. Is there any difference between the Russian and the Chinese surplus ammo?
