Heads up on DA Grizzly 20 gauge and Hogue stock/forend...
Not fun.
The mag tube and action bar tube are a slightly larger diameter than a real 870 - 20 gauge.
Additionally, nut the stock bolt attaches to appears to be a bit longer.
Took all after noon. It was a fair bit of work. Maybe 5-6 hours if you want to make it clean.
6 different dimensions needed to be altered on the forend.
Stock needed one dimension changed because of nut depth. Also had to lengthen the threading on the stock bolt about 1/4".
Also of note, 870 - 20 gauge after market followers are slightly too small in diameter and will not hold in place. Thinking of making one out of a 12 gauge follower.
Sorry, didn't take any pictures but turned out really well.
This SG is for my wife and it was worth the HUGE weight reduction from the original stock/forend. The shorter LOP Hogue stock worked out perfectly for her. Also installed an oversized S&J safety.
Sling will be in next week. Still want to add a XS big dot tritium.
