Sask rules - shotgun plug

I have a 3.5 Mossberg that can hold only two 3.5 shells but obviously it can hold more than 2 of the smaller type. How does the law apply in this case? Do I have to make sure I never have more than 2?

Same with mine. The difference between two 2-3/4" shells and two 3-1/2" shells is only 1-1/2", not enough to fit an extra 2-3/4" shell in the magazine.

My 935 likewise would only hold 2 shells in the magazine regardless of length as mentioned above. The device CO's use to check magazine length is set for 3.75" shells, I did have a dozy CO try to check my sxs early one morning and when I started laughing he woke up and started to laugh as well.

In the time of legaleese and lawsuits I would and will hazard a guess that the Stock Plug that comes with any new gun purchased will meet the laws in North America for Hunting Migratory Game Birds ( ducks, geese etc...)
One in the chamber and two in the magazine.

I have never been able to stuff more than two 3 inch rounds into my 3 inch chambered WingMaster and nor was I able to stuff more than 2 2-3/4 inch rounds into the magazine of said shotgun.

I do not own nor have I ever shot let alone handled a 3-1/2'' chambered shotgun to attempt what the first poster is trying to determine.

But, I once had a C/O in Saskatchewan ask a hunting partner to hand over his O/U for inspection and wanted to know where the third shot for said gun was...
Thats a story for another time though.

Tried my ####gun and can hold 4 shells in total. I guess i got no plug when I purchased my shotgun from Cabelas.

plug is nowhere to be found. I damaged my magazine tube trying to open it unfortunately...

What type of shotgun is it? Mine have always had the plug installed from the factory.

The Federal Migratory Bird Act (for migratory birds) and the Saskatchewan Regulations (for game bird) states that while hunting those birds the shotgun magazine cannot hold more than 2 of any round of that gauge: therefor, it can only hold a maximum of two 2 3/4" rounds.

I had a Remington 3 1/2" pump and the magazine could hold with the factory installed plug 2 of the 2 3/4" shells, 2 of the 3" shells and only 1 of the 3 1/2" shells. I was able to buy a different plug, a much harder plastic, and sand it down to barely hold two 3 1/2" shells (and I mean barely: loading that second was a pain) and still not hold three 2 3/4" shells.
