Rubbing mark on a new Tikka T3 TAC

Hi guys,

I received my new Tikka T3 tactical today and was disappointed to notice there is a sort of rubbing ring on the barrel. Kind of like if it was polished. I tried to put some oil on it and see if it would disappear but it doesn't. Any one here ever go the same problem?

I had something similar on a Rem 700. I don't think it'll impede the rifle:)..
It didn't bother me anyways.
I think the vender told me it was from packing oil or something like that.
It's odd how these things( firearms with imperfections ) always make it out of the stores without anyone noticing . I mean, it's a pretty obvious ring around the barrel.

Obviously it won't impede the the rifle, but at 2000$ one expects a new rifle that looks, well, new.

Did yours eventually go away by itself?
 
Could it be from one of those plastic sleeves to ID manufacturer on the gun store shelves?

My latest WBY had one but left no mark underneath.
