I've enjoyed shooting and carrying the .44 Mag Mare's Leg around up at our cabin and more so after changing out the front sight for a taller one from Skinner for better accuracy. After watching a YouTube video on a SBR Mare's Leg, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6zzKPEyHhE, I decided to order a full length stock from Wolverine Supplies. The model number is HEN-BB54 and it finally arrived today. Total length is 31" from the original 25" and doesn't weight much more but she handles nice. Going to be trying it out this weekend.

Cool!
Very interested, want to do the same, but could not find stock on Wolverine's web site. The part number did not work. Will call my lgs Tuesday to see if they can order one in for me.
Let us know how yours worked out.

Talk to Michael at Wolverine he is the person I dealt with. I had to place a special order, it is not an item they keep in stock. The model number is HEN-BB54.

She's no longer a Mare's Leg... shorter than the Big Boy Carbine so it's safe to call it a Big Boy Compact

As a Mare's Leg I was confident shooting it accurately at 30 yards or less unsupported. OK shooting it out to 50 yards. But with the full length stock, taller front sight from Skinner and Buckhorn rear sight I am very confident shooting this rifle and was accurate hitting a 12" fry pan out to 75 yards unsupported. Past 75 yards to 140 yards I had to use some sort of support with either a table or off the side of a tree.

Regardless she's is fun to shoot, my goto cabin rifle when hiking my property and may consider using it this year come deer gun season from my tree stand.

This is a great thread. I was considering buying a 44mag rifle to pair up with my Mares Leg. Getting a spare stock will save me a pile of $$ I can spend on ammo. This thing is so much fun to shoot.

Jeeesh, that's pretty dang kewl.
You ever put it down and lewse it?

I ordered it from Reliable, they are my lgs, and super nice guys to deal with. According to them Henry is not too happy selling the stocks directly as "spare parts" unless replacing a broken one. I can just imagine the storry that would go with a broken stock. b:

That is how I placed my order... as a replacement stock. If I was asked for details I would have told them my puppy chewed the crap out of it.
