Hey guys,

Really new shooter here, just picked up a Remington 700 VTR with a Vortex Viper scope. 6.5-20x50 with a Mil Dot reticle. Just curious where in the spectrum this thing falls, and what it might be worth. I'm just punching paper at 100yds right now but looking to grow into it and do some longer distance target shooting as my skill improves.

It's a reasonable scope for the price , I own these optics on board a rem 7oo sps varmint..... It can help you reach out past 100 without issue... Try 400-500 without much trouble!

At 100 yards with these optics you shouldn't have to think , it's like your 10 feet away with a SG



I'll post a few pics of my next range outing , needless to say I'm a fan of these optics

I would bet that if OP bought the mil-dot version of the viper he/she would be very happy with the viper for the price....

only exception would be to buy the Sightron used.... for $700-800 and then of course it would be a great deal....

Yeah I was talking about a used Sightron, I forgot to mention...
Just wait for the right deal and you will find a great deal on a mint scope from a reputable seller.
