Hey Guys

I really like the SAP6 and want to purchase one but I have been reading as much as I can and I have read people saying they have fail to feed or eject issues and the picatinny rail falling off.
Wondering if its B.S or are they really not that durable.
I'm looking for real people, real owners with real experience with it
thanks for the help

I do not own one but my friend does. He had so many failure to extract issues it went back to the distributor. Apparently a new barrel was the only fix. The rail attachment is poorly designed, two screws and one tension screw, the front screw is ovalized and had some sort of epoxy (JB Weld?) to keep it in place. The front sight ring is too soft and has bent a few times.

My friend took his apart to try and figure out why it was jamming and noticed some rather poor workmanship in a number of places, feed ramp was "cut with a chain saw" according to him.

I am not sure if it is by design or part of the fault he had, but when he pulled the forend back with a jammed cartridge, the mag would cascade the unfired shells out on the ground.

There is one issue that has both of us a bit concerned which we haven't tested with spent rounds yet so there is a caveat. There is no firing pin block when it is out of battery, as one pulls the forend back just a bit, you can still pull the trigger and hear the firing pin actuate. Due to the design of the action, one can easily pull back on the forend before a round is fired which could lead to an out of battery detonation. Again, one would need to test this to be sure there isn't contact of the firing pin on the primer to be assured this scenario could not happen.

Hope that helps.

This is false. The hammer may fall but there is a firing pin block that prevents the firing pin from being hit when out of battery.

The SAP6 has a 5 year warranty covered by us in-house. If you ever experience a problem or it's not 100%, simply send it back and we'll fix it hassle-free.

I am experiencing the same issue that a few others have had. My first thought is maybe this is a magazine issue acting picky on the particular type of ammo used. But I tried 3 different types same problem . I can load 4 rounds into the magazine any more and it always jam/won't fully feed into the breach. From what I can tell the tension created from the magazine spring and the lips are creating huge resistance not allowing it to feed up the plastic ramp ramp correctly. This is the case with both my Two magazines that came with the firearm, as both exhibit the same problem. Also after taking the gun apart I was non to pleased with the craftsmanship quality. At this point I have no idea for certain if it's the magazines alone causing the issue or a combination of magazine and feed ramp.

I was contemplating on taking a risk and buying a 11 Round Magazine from tactical imports to see if the problem persists. So hypothetically If I get a new magazine and no issues arise then I can pin point the magazines that came with the shotgun as the prime culprit. On the otherhand if a new mag does not fix the problem that would mean my issue is far more serious. Matter of fact I saw a youtube video of a SAP6 owner with an almost identical issue I am having right now in regards to the magazine being the issue but even he wasn't able to get his working correctly after taking it to a gun smith to diagnose and making slight repair changes to elevate the problem which sadly it didn't.

Has anyone else been unfortunate enough to receive a lemon and how common is this?

Had one, didn't work right from day one. On the last video I did after their expert gunsmith had it for a month the top rail fell off while firing at the range lol.

TI warranty ain't worth crap, gave up on them and their SAP6 after 3 months and sold it for parts.

Wow so that was your video I was watching, it came up randomly when I googled the shotgun with the problems I was having. I watched all 3 of your videos and realized I was not the only with the jamming/feeding issue.

Cheezz I have a very important question to ask you. After all the issues you had in your opinion was the issue a combination of both the box Magazine and feeder? At this point my only prayer is that it's a magazine issue, but I may have to come to terms like you did and just I guess sell the parts if things don't work out. Such a shame this was the first shotgun I ever owned.

I took a few of my mags and used a dremil and polished the inside or the mag lips thinking the brass on the shell was catching on the paint on the lips. Didn't work or even help. I put over 300 rounds threw it with 80% failure rate. I think the plastic feed ramp was the issue on mine.

I had a chance to shoot my friends before buying. His has run ok, but has had a few issues feeding.

I really didn't like the spring loaded pump. That was a TOTAL deal breaker for me. YMMV

Bought 2 of the first generation version, one of them didn't function properly with failure to feed issues.

Sent it back to TI and heard back 2-3 weeks later, they were going to send me a new shotgun; turned out to be the second generation.

Since then it has worked flawlessly with over 500 slugs thru it and not a single issue! The second generation one has a different safety and different style font on the receiver, couldn't tell if anything else is different on the two different generations.

I would recommend Nick at TI who helped me thru my shotguns issues.

How come you haven't contacted us for repair? We'll be able to diagnose and fix the problem and ensure your shotgun is running 100%

We offered a brand new replacement after the mix-up with the repair. Cheezz instead decided to sell the broken SAP6 at a loss (I believe new owner sent it in for full repair) and forever comment in youtube videos and CGN threads about how terrible the SAP6 is and to not deal with us...

You offered a new one weeks after it was sold, and yes I do tell people to not deal with your business and will continue to do so.

The offer to replace was made 1 day after being notified the replacement wasn't working (May 20th). The only thing we asked was to meet up at your range at your convenience to verify things, since the gunsmith said it was working 100% when it was sent out.
