MHRRC Steely Eyed Challenge Match
(Handgun only)
Saturday October 15th start 9am

We need a minimum of 10 shooters registration will close at 40 shooters

Match Fee $20
We will shoot through, snack and drink as time permits.
There are no canteen facilities on the range.
We do have hot and cold running water and toilets now.
Minimum round count is 125 (Hint bring lots more)
The stages may look similar to Steel Challenge but to protect the innocent they have been modified by using slightly different shapes.

5 Stages of 5 steel targets in different arrangements.

Shooter will shoot each stage 5 times; best 4 times will be totaled for that stage.
Best 5 stage times is the winner


MHRRC range is a cold range Firearms will only be loaded under the command of a Range Officer. Safe areas will be available for firearms uncasing casing and maintenance. No loose or boxes of ammunition in safe areas loaded magazines/speed loaders on belts are allowed

Shooters will be divided by divisions
Stock, metal sights semi auto
Optic, scopes or magnifiers
Revolver
Rimfire pistol or rifle.

Unless the shooter chooses to draw from a holster the start position will be the low ready. (Muzzle on tip of wooden post) There will be a 2X4 post to keep everyone even.
The shooters will have a fixed shooting box.
The start commands will be:-
If you know and understand the course of fire, you may load and make ready.
Shooter ready
Standby
Beep from a timer
Last shot fired will be the stage time.
Shooters will complete five courses of fire per stage.
At end of the fifth and final course of fire the shooter will be asked to
Unload and show clear
Hammer down and Holster.

Each stop plate will be a different color from remaining four plates

Remember this is a fun match; there might be paper certificates but no prize money or prize table. Bragging rights are part of the match fee.

I don't see an armycat registered yet either.

Couple of reasons for that:
- I don't want to be one of the first ten to register in case I can't make it and I am not sure I want to make the drive two weekends in a row
- I was told firearms are single use and I don't have a Steel Challenge gun, not sure I can get a new gun by then

Are you going revolver or Sig?
 
We have 18 registered now.

Kidd X yes FMJ is ok. Protective eye wear is mandatory for all competitors and spectators. People who wear eyeglasses should probably have side shields.

Armycat. I signed up in revolver division and yes we have some rimfire rifle and rimfire handgun entries.
