Higginson sold that................... perhaps old Nobel Scottish powder ?.......... contact them and see if they can direct you.............Harold

it looks like it's from the 60s or 70s. I'd just hang on to the can and not use it .or get reloading data on it and see if it smells any good and reload with it then display the can . I hope it was kept cool and dry .

It may be either Nobel Pistol#2. Or Nobel Rifle#2. Two different powders and applications. I used to have load data for a lot of those Nobel powders, at one time. Long since disappeared. As I recall, Nobel Pistol#2 was fairly close in burn rate, to Unique. I am relying on memory here, so don't take this as accurate information. Rifle #2, was more suitable as a cast-bullet powder for cartridges like .308 Winchester and, .303 British. Again, working from memory alone (was at least 30 years ago). As already mentioned, your best bet is to call Higginson directly.

Look at the label. It is Ammomart Shotgun powder #2, aka Nobel 82 powder, which was a replacement for Nobel 62 and was also known as Herter's 162. It is NOT RP2 or PP2!

Do a Google search for Nobel 82 shotgun powder.

If you still can't find any loads, send me a PM with your email address and I'll send you a bunch.
