Auto 5 magnum 20 going rate? Now with pics

That much wow. I like old a5 but a grand. Kind of steep imo. I see a 12 a5 at an auction. I would say early 90 s beautiful shape 600. Mind that was over 5 years ago I'm not sure if it has gone up.

The old 12s don't sell for much, but with few sweet sixteens or 20 gauges out there to go around, the sellers can ask a heavy premium for the sub gauge humpback.

they certainly do and was jerking that trouts lip a little.
Condition is everything and having someone come along with a mittfull of Brown ones or Orange ones.
Still would be nice to see what the guy is looking at for evaluation purposes though.

Oh yeah, we need pictures :)

85% Belgian A5, 20 gauge with a full choke?

$1,000 for a Browning fans stuck in the early part of the last century.

$300 for the rest of us.

Last one I watched at auction sold in that 1400 range. Little better shape than 85 but they are a much coveted scattergun.

I would say in the $700 - $800 range, it has a after market recoil pad installed so it looses some value for that. Most people want it to be in original condition, if the stock was cut and the LOP is short it will bring the value down more. Most people buying these are using them for upland hunting so the more open chokes like I.C and MOD bring a premium over the full.

Sold a mint 1969 A5 20ga magnum with Vr modified choke barrel on the EE a few years ago for $900. Started at $1100, took over a month to move it.
Had a recoil pad on it, think I still have the mint original butt plate....

I am one of those archaic Auto 5 guys from the previous century who appreciates old school craftsmanship. I would suggest that the right guy will easily pay $1000 for such a gun if its clean, complete and free of cracks. I recently paid $900 for a 1995 Mag 12 inv+ and $1200 for another 1990 special edition Mag 12. I also have a 1979 Mag 20 with an inv bbl that I bought 10 years ago for $1000. Nut bars like me are out there

I don't know if that is a aftermarket butt pad, I know someone who has a 1973 A5 with the same one on it but I'm not a expert by any means.
