You will need a minimum of 2 pistol mags an 4 rifle mags. You can use Lar an Bwolf mags but the round count is the same for everyone as there is mandatory mag changes involved. Hope this helps an hope to see ya sign up for the fun.

Definitely, switching up my schedule and what not to make it work. May just need to suck up the taxi cost for the missus and attend haha. Thanks for the info wasn't sure how to setup my vest/belt.

I might just drive out to check out the match. Never done CQB before.
One question, is the single point sling mandatory or recommended?

Single point sling... I would not call it mandatory, but certainly helps....

Got an old Camcorder (Sony, Pentax, Nikon) sling with swivels on it ? That's all I've used over the years at the ORA CQB matches. Then I got wiser and spent some money on a Magpul MS3. Now I keep the camcorder strap for a back up. It's actually come in handy for many clients (just did 4 clinics in 18 days across the country)

Maybe Buckaroo, your match director can chime in here!

Adversity into Advantage!

Also save the new mags for the clinics an range time haha 😈
Have your mags marked bUT will be able to do that at the practise before hand as well
Try different setups on your carrier n belt or vest to see what works best for you in ALL positions.
Also make sure ya got your zero setup on your rifle haha
An most importantly come for the sheer enjoyment an comrodery of what we call CQB 😆😆😆😆
Yes boys n girls it's now here in Alberta an here to stay 😎

I will bring an extra sling with me too if anyone needs it. A Magpul with the "paraclip" style attachment point.

Just in case, another reminder to all. Please dont use RR224. Use 223 please and double back.
Cheers

You drop the rifle when you transition to pistol. So you need a sling of some kind.

You will want the rifle to fall into a certain position on your body so it does not block access to your pistol mags or the pistol holster. A single point will hang the rifle vertically and it is easy to keep it out of the way.

A double ended sling requires you to steer the rifle into position. Not a big deal.

I learned to steer it down regardless.
Did it once with an mp5 and a long mag. Mag nail me in the crotch. I'm overly careful now :)
