It's the same basic design, but the parts are not interchangeable.

Here's the Uzkon barrel on top, the 870 on the bottom

The Uzkon bolt carrier and rails are also machined from a single piece of steel

The forend on my AS-46 bolts on with a couple of socket head bolts. It would not be interchangeable with my 870 fore end without significant modification.
