Just received this today from Az tech Armory, my CMMG Anvil .458 Socom, I bought the base model and added my own parts, I installed a Timney Trigger, Hogue grip, GL-Shock stock, Custom Muzzle break Extreme Delta, Vortex Viper HS scope. I loaded some 300gr JHP to try it out this weekend. What a beauty, it took awhile to come CMMG has been back ordered for months on them

Oooooohhhhh my!!!!! Very nice dude. Like the stock you choose. I may have mine this month. How many rounds does the mag hold/pinned to?
With that scope you must intend to longer ranges?

Scope is a 2.5 - 10, so not for long ranges, just wanted an good eye piece, mags are pinned to 2 rounds of 458, it came with two lancer mags made for the .458, I have some 10 shot pistol mags and they hold 4 rounds of .458. If you like the stock, I have a brand new one I will be selling on EE

Cool.ill keep my eye out for it!!! The mags are 20 rnd(223) ?? I'm thinking a APcomp m4 should do me.

What have you got lined up in regards to commercial ammo and where??
The bullet barn said 300 gr p.c.i 20rnds for 94.74

I took the Anvil out for it test shoot this morning, gun has a pretty good kick but not abusive, what a nice shooting gun, just shoot at 50 yards to sight in scope, just 1 ragged hole, and what a big hole, you could see the hole without any need for optics

The cmmg rifles really need to be submitted for a NR FRT if it is not already too late

As Questar stated to you on another thread, the whole mutant line from CMMG has been classified as AR variants, the FRT for this was submitted directly from CMMG to the Feds and that is how they classified it because of the previous classification that Questar received, appealed and lost

Where did they state that? It is less of an AR than the MH/MV line of rifles.

The time line is not correct as the cmmg line of rifles is not all that old and the NR FRT process takes years on a good day unless one submits it as an AR variant to fast track it's approval for sale as a restricted only
