It is a takeoff Husqvarna 9.3X57 with a perfect bore, factory sights and excellent blue.
The tenon is big enough to be fitted to the barrel extension, which has a 15/16X20 thread. Have the man lined up to do the job.
Just need the junker pumper, and another Frankenrifle will be done. The first one was a 308 Norma Mag bolt gun. This one is for the boys in the woods back East!

Has it been rechambered already? One could just leave it as a x57.
I wonder how those big RNs would feed from that magazine.

Some people just don't get it.
Been out of the country for a while, back home late last night.
It will be much simpler to headspace the rifle by rechambering the barrel to '62. Just install the barrel with the sights properly aligned on top of the sighting plane, then rechamber to correct headspace.
As for the feeding, I tried the pictured mag full in a rifle already. It fed all four rounds, from right and left, into the chamber slick as could be. If it had been the correct chamber, they would have all gone gone all the way home.
Been 17+ months since starting this thread, and the only deal I had to purchase fell through. We will find one!

The headspacing rechamber makes sence. Hadn't thought of that.
I had a 7600 here until last week, but it was traded for a NIB Marlin X7 in 223. That 7600 was too good to hack up anyways. Something will pop up after hunting season.
