I've been looking and have not found much...

I have a 14" Fabarm SDASS. I'd like a ~26" barrel swap for it. It looks like the longest Fabarm has made for these is maybe 20"?

Is there another models barrel that's will fit, like it is based on a 870 or something? Or am I screwed?

I have a Fabarm 14" SDASS as well (at least I think it's a SDASS if memory serves).

Don't recall hearing of anyone swapping barrel. Heck, I can't find any after market items for this thing.

I know there is a buttstock adapter, and I'm just assuming the barrel would be able to be swapped like most other pumps...

If there is a barrel to swap that is.

Yes, you're correct. There's stock adaptor & sling plate.

Out of curiosity I ordered the S&J oversized Turkish safety. The geometry is ALMOST identical. The little bump in the middle of the safety is just a hair to the right of the Fabarm safety. The issue is the Fabarm detent is squared and locks it up. I'm convinced if you swap it out for a slightly longer Remington spring and ball detent it will work perfectly. Have to pick up the parts soon and nail this down.
Always wanted an oversized safety on the Fabarm.

I chopped my stock down to a 12.5" LOP, installed a Limbsaver R3 and a little bit of a cheek riser since I didn't quite like my cheek-weld with the taller LPA sights.

Curious to see what kind of responses you get here on the barrel option.

I just removed the barrel from my Fabarm and compared them to my Remington 870 barrels and they are 100% a NO GO.

Some of the new crop of Turkish shotguns appear to be based of the Fabarm design. The ATA stuff specifically. Might get lucky there ??

I guess first step would be to pull my Fabarm barrel and see what it looks like lol.

I have a Turkish ATA as well. Will try to make a few minutes after I get the kiddo to bed and take that guy apart too. See what we can find out.

Ok ShawnC6, I think you might get lucky with the ATA barrel's.

The 14" Etro 8 barrel is almost identical. Can't confirm the dimensions are the same on the longer ATA barrels but probably a good bet. It slips into the receiver no problem. The bolt slides over it no problem. It doesn't quite lock up but it's so close .... The dimensions are almost identical.

I suspect if you took it to a smith with a really minor amount of work it would run safely.

That's the best I can do for ya with what I have. Hopefully someone else can add to it.

Thanks for the info!

Edit: "looking at the ata site I only see 20" barrels for pumps..

Maybe so, but if you look at other Turkish SG's, like say on Corwin Arm's site ... the barrel looks exactly like the ATA and they have some 26 " er's.
