Buy the Magpul, you won't regret it. I was hard pressed to give up my Hogue until I tried it. I'll get a pic of the offset light mount this weekend and post it.

Picked this up a little while ago and just got the leather items as well. Even with a 14" barrel it is still somewhat longer than the KSG, won't fit in the same bag or in the box on the bike, oh well.

Longest 870 barrel I have is 18". Been contemplating a 23 or 26" for more options than the short ones allow.

870 barrel change is so easy, it's great having a few barrels. I have a 14 for bush carry, 18 for 3gun, and a 26 for water fowl, the odd grouse and clays. Very versatile with little effort to swap.

Also, I will post pics of that offset mount. I was out hunting with the family all weekend and didn't have a chance. The wife liked it as her camp gun.

Yeah been heading toward the same idea JDForBrkFst.

Have a 14 & 18". As I said, trying to decide between a 23 or 26" and a rifled barrel (maybe a 21" ?).

870 is incredibly versatile.

Funny , I've tried the speedfeed stock on a 20" and a 18.5" and it didn't feel right , to long LOP , kind of off balance , but on the 14" , it feels okay and as a added benefit , unless you're a knuckle dragger , there's no way your hand should slip past the muzzle .
Same for the EoTech forend light , on anything longer then 14" , it just felt front heavy , balances nicely on this short one , and there is no shadow from the shorter barrel .
