So awhile back I picked up a bunch of plated lead bullets from western metal in Calgary.. Last week loaded a bunch of them in front of 14gr of Trail boss.. What a fun round to shoot and fairly accurate.. Kinda loving the trailboss

Westernmetal.ca they make them have to keep them under 1700fps.. But make a great planking round

I have dealt with them before, don't plan on ever doing it again. I shoot cast 205grn bullets. Much cheaper, Very accurate and there is no issue going past 1700fps and well beyond.

Plated .303? Didn't known there was such a product.

Love trailboss in everything i have loaded. Very fun

You guys are talking in code! Someone clue me in, please. Why is trailboss fun, why keep this "plated?" bullet under 1700 feet per second?

Terrible pricing. I inquired about some brass and they wanted more for 1f than the going price for virgin. They spouted about the fact the brass was unobtainable despite the fact all my local stores had stock, along with pretty much every store in AB. I guess not finding much in a barrel of range scrap means it is worth a lot...

It is a very fluffy pistol powder that can be used in any round. 30-06 with a 165gr bullet and 18gr of trail boss should net about 1700fps. 223rem with a 40 gr bullet and 5gr should be about 1600fps and so on.
