LAV Shooting the Tavor

Takeaway 1: LAV would Not choose a bullpup unless he had to, but if he was forced to, it would be a Tavor to make the best of a bad thing.
Takeaway 2: LAV has totally let himself go to the point that his name attached to anything "operator" or "tactical" has a Paul Blart absurdity about it. Lay off the beer and twinkles Larry!!!

Well he does own a Tavor. So he can't detest them that much.

He had a video a while entitled "why I'm fat" or something where he spoke quite candidly about injuries sustained in Delta hampering his life after.

Larry and I have sparred words before but I will always respect the man, and he deserves that respect and more, and i'm known for being a bit of a d!ck so thats just me.
We all choose to drown our demons in something that makes us able to live with them.
He has even made a video about that, he's working on it, I respect that even more, shows strength to admit that about yourself.

The guy was in Delta, DELTA, the cream of the crop!

Amen. Because CGN is full of Delta/Seal wannabes, all with 12" pricks, run marathons once a week, make 6 figures a year, are married to super models, and shoot sub-MOA off-handed while blindfolded and standing on their heads LOL.

The guy has retired and he likes to enjoy life a bit after decades of hardwork. Leave him a alone. Obviously he doesn't care what you think. If you want to comment on others body weight/shape, there is always Facebook and your friends.

Please leave this out of here and stay on topic about firearms.

Very nice rifle. As a Type 97 owner and natural lefty I am jelly for the Tavor. Particularly if it was installed with the 9mm conversion. At the same time, I can fire right side and I can enjoy the enormous savings.

Also I've gained an significant amount of weight since my dog died (she and I used to go for 10km walks near daily), it sucks and it's hard to lose it once you have it... also age.

The weight thing is a red herring. A bunch of ppl commented on a short quip I made, which was supposed to be funny, and it led me off track along with half the thread - sorry.

My main point is that he really does not seem very thrilled with bullpups at all. He is basically saying in his vid that "if I had to use a bullpup, it would be this one". What he doesn't say but clearly implies is that he would not want to be forced to use a bullpup for any task that mattered.

If I recall, he's a strong AR advocate.

Vickers owes an explaination to no one.
I'd say he owns a Tavor because:
A) he can, and he's a gun guy, so it makes sense to have one,
B) they are a cool design worthy of a placement in the pattern room.

Every man in our society should do military service as a means to have their nut sack drop, but I appreciate those that know they don't have the fortitude and pass on the opportunity...
