Type 97 Broken out of the box?

I believe my striker is broken, Any one confirm this?

Mine is shaped like that as well, but it's still got all it;s finish on it. Maybe they found a defect and touched it up by hand afterwards?

Do a few function tests, hold the trigger down, rack the action, release the trigger and make sure it resets

mine's shaped just like that as well and I havent had any issues, maybe it's a mod to make the 5.8mm striker compatible with the 5.56?

It would be nice if they'd save the effort and just sell us the 5.8, I'd love to play with that.

Should function perfectly fine. Lack of finish is a bit weird.
